I don't believe we've had the pleasure of introducing our newest addition to the Davies family. Meet Sherlock!
( Picture )
Apparently, Australian shepherds are very temper-soothing in children.

Merry has had the worst tantrums possible lately, mixed in with explosive magic. Of course every few hours I'm cleaning something at home. Roger and I tried everything.
But the only thing to settle her down was a puppy. My darling husband's idea. Never mind that there isn't room in my schedule to watch over a dog as well as everyone else

I hope Nora's not too upset, but the only reason I've been keeping Meredith at distance lately is because her explosive temper. And I mean.. explosive.
Did I tell you the time all the dinner plates went flying into the wall? And Roger had to tackle me to get me out of the way?
Yeah..

Thank Merlin most of the children in the school are old enough to take potions they're given. It would take a lot longer for it to go down if they were, say, three-years-old, and were like my daughter. Hence why I'm going to be a couple of minutes late. Sorry, Lisa.
It's nothing serious. Just the usual chilren's multi-vit potions that I thought she used to like. Apparently, her taste has changed.

Roger and I have decided together that we ought to establish a Game Night sometime soon, perhaps next week. There will be cards, board games, food and drinks, and such. We hadn't picked the date yet for that because, well, we ought to match up our schedules together and see when would be the best fit for all of us. Interested?

Easter was memorable this year. We took Merry to a big egg hunt at the park. She enjoyed it for the most part, and the weather was amazing that I felt at complete ease walking with Roger and following her around. The second she discovered there was candy inside her first three eggs, however, she completely disregarded the rest of the egg hunt. We had to coax her to find more.

This is an invitation for dinner at our place, next Thursday, for Merry's third birthday. No big grand party, just something small and casual. Cake will definitely be served, of course. Any requests for dishes? I'll be cooking!

I had hopes of sleeping in tonight, but it figures that the day I want more rest, Merry is one of the first to wake up early. I was awaken to something jumping right on top of me and I opened my eyes to find my daughter's hands outstretched with a daisy and a chocolate chip muffin of which she had already taken several bites before presenting it to me. It's her way of saying "Happy birthday, Mum".

With more and more Bitty Mate toys (and similar) coming out, it's hard to keep them out of your daughter's sight, especially with her birthday coming up next month. She wants a toy, I'll be glad to get her anything she wants for it, but something that works in favor of everyone.
Read: not loud and annoying
Speaking of which, this sounds like a good time to start planning a birthday party. I haven't a theme, however, for this year.

I've been feeling incredibly exhausted lately. A large part of it could possibly be due to the fact that Merry's bed isn't easy on my back. That's the least of my worries though -- she's been afraid of sleeping in her room alone for several days now. Hence, we've all been taking turns staying with her.
Tonight, I had some hope that she'd go to bed and everything would be okay. But the second I started back out of her room, she cried out. If only there was a force that could tell me it'll pass within days and I wouldn't have to take her to a mind healer.
